3:36 p.m. - 2004-04-07 I really like your layout. I've never seen I am Sam and I've never quite gotten into the whole Beatles thing, but I really like the red background. If more people had red backgrounds, that would be good. Anyway, good layout, and it matches the content really well. As for the content, it was okay. Nothing too spectacular.. I wasn't blown away or anything. Honestly, if I wasn't reviewing it, I probably wouldn't read more than one page. That doesn't necessarily mean that it's bad, it just means that it didn't really hold my attention. Different strokes for different folks, right? You seem to have a thing where you like to refer to yourself in the third person, which is just a little strange and maybe a tad bit annoying. Sometimes I had no idea if you were talking about yourself or one of your friends. A good example of that is this entry. Now, once I figured you were talking about yourself, I actually enjoyed the entry. You are a succinct writer, you're quite intelligent, and that's something to appreciate. I can dig that you're poetic about stuff. I can also dig the fact that you like to put so much detail into your entries, but entries like this one left a little to be desired. I'm not sure there's a person out there, other than maybe a best friend, who could possibly care about that conversation you had. It almost seemed to personal to share with us. It almost seemed like you were taking notes during the conversation so you could tell everyone on Diaryland about it. This was painful to read, because I think we've all been through something similar. Ouch. When you're stressed about something, you talk about it to DEATH. Your entries get redundant and we're all like OKAY! TALK ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE! An example: "Honestly. I need a vacation, just to get away from stress and Prom and musical and Chemistry class (test tomorrow...bargh) and school and waking up early and working and finding a new job and newspaper and the damn Honors Comm. project and PSSA's next week and people and life in general." We all need a vacation. Seriously. So, there ya go. The things I liked (honest, to the point, detailed, descriptive, well-written) were also the things I didn't like so much. Confusing, but that's me! I give you a 75 for averageness.
